2017 Course Description
The race will start and finish at the Granby Ranch Lodge. The course is entirely contained on the Granby Ranch cross-country trail system.
The course starts with a climb up the Zag ski run where it then joins Nature’s Way, a singletrack climb through both pine and aspen trees. At 0.6 miles, riders will make a left hand turn onto a double-track road which traverses the mountain. The trail will transition to the smooth and flowy Fraser Valley Trail. The 3 mile loop on the Fraser Valley Trail meanders through sagebrush providing amazing views of the Fraser River and Indian Peak Wilderness. On the return to the venue, there will be a couple road crossings on the Fraser Valley Trail prior to joining Ike’s Trail. The final right hand turn on the course will intersect the downhill bike park where riders will roll a couple wooden bridges as they descend tight switchbacks to the base and finish area.
Total course distance is approximately 5.0 miles, with approximately 750 feet of climbing per lap.
