Granby Ranch is a four-season mountain community nestled in the Rocky Mountains and located just 90 minutes from Denver and 15 minutes from Winter Park, Colorado and the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Here you'll find:

Opening Day - Ski Granby Ranch

Winter Wonderland

Wednesday, Dec. 24 - Sunday, Jan. 4 - All day

Celebrate the holiday season with music, old-fashioned wagon rides, holiday parties and more. Extend your ski day with s’mores at the fire pit and night skiing on select nights


Santa Claus Hits the Slope

Wednesday, Dec. 24 - 9 am to 12 pm

Rumor has it Santa is taking a break and pulling out his skis for a little recreation. He’ll be taking laps with the kids on Christmas Eve from 9 am to 12 pm.  Bring your camera to take advantage of the great photo opportunities.


Santa Claus Visits the Base Lodge

Wednesday, Dec. 24 - 12:45 pm to 2:45 pm

Santa will take a break from skiing on Wednesday, December 24 from 12:45 pm to 2:45 pm to hand out candy canes and listen to holiday wishes from children.  Bring your little one and your camera to visit with Santa! Decorate Christmas cookies and drink cocoa while you wait!


Christmas Eve Service

Wednesday, Dec. 24 - 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm

A Christmas Eve celebration with music and service led by Pastor Patrick Lockhart.


Christmas Brunch

Thursday, Dec. 25 - 9 am to 2 pm

Granby Ranch Grill will be serving a special a-la-carte holiday brunch from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. $24.95 for adults, $14.95 for children under 12 & bottomless champagne $14.95.


Sombrero Stables Horse-Driven Wagon Rides

Friday, Dec. 26 to Tuesday Dec. 30 - 3 pm to 6 pm

Cozy up under a blanket for a FREE horse-driven wagon ride around Granby Ranch! This will be an event you and your kids will not want to miss. The wagon will be taking regular laps from 3 pm to 6 pm which is first come first serve.


New Year’s Eve Party, Torchlight Parade, and Fireworks Display

Wednesday, Dec. 31 - 6 pm

After a day of skiing, come to our family-friendly dance party with dinner in the dining hall from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. After the parade and fireworks dance the night away with your family and get ready for the “ball drop” at 9:25 to ring in 2015! 

Come participate in our glow stick walking parade followed by our torchlight procession of our best Ski and Ride School instructors. Kids can pick up their FREE glow stick in Ski School from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., then head up to the top of Milestone lift (walkers and skiers/riders are welcome to participate). The parade will begin at 6 p.m. Then, start the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display with the whole family.

Cool Hand Ice Show

Friday, Jan. 2 and Saturday, Jan. 3 -

Experience the thrill of ice carving with Cool Hand Ice. See an ice maze and ice games created right in front of your eyes. Ask them questions, watch the show, and get ready to play! 


Family Movie Nights

Saturdays, Jan. 10 and 24 - 6:30 p.m.

Free movies and popcorn with movie snacks available to purchase. Pull up a chair, or bring a blanket and curl up on the floor. Parents can enjoy dinner at the Granby Ranch Grill or grab a pizza for the whole family.

Ranch 2 Ranch XC Ski Trek

Saturday, Feb. 7, 2014 -

Help raise money for Youth XC Skiing in Grand County with a Cross Country Ski from Granby Ranch to Snow Mountain Ranch via the Fraser to Granby Trail extending 13 kilometers. Register online at grandnordic.org or call 970-887-0547. The trek is $25 for members and $35 for non-members. After the race, purchase some delicious BBQ to celebrate your finish at Snow Mountain Ranch.


Totally Insane Winter Blast

Saturday, Feb. 14 - All day

Enjoy a day of family fun at Granby Ranch filled with activities, games, followed by night skiing.

Enjoy a day at Granby Ranch with beach music, specials at our tiki snow bar, and our annual pond skim. Watch the show or join the fun to make the biggest splash.
